    Merry Christmas!

Thank you for your Christmas office party edition.

As always, you continue to expand my musical horizons.

I had not heard “Every Valley Shall Be Exalted” – Lizz Lee, Chris Willis & Mike E. (Handel’s Messiah, A Soulful Celebration).

I think it is different from Marin Alsop’s Too Hot to Handel. Ms. Alsop took over the Baltimore Symphony a few years ago, and we were able to go the the Meyerhoff for a performance (I think it was with the Morgan State Choir). It was AMAZING. As knowledgeable and erudite as you both are, I’m sure you can educate me on this. And include Too Hot to Handel in upcoming editions.

So where are these videos of your recording sessions that you keep teasing us with?

  3. Janet says:

Regarding the Soulful Celebration of Handel’s “Messiah,” a phrase that can be often used for The God Whisperers: “Just because you CAN, doesn’t mean you SHOULD!” [With all due respect to you two MD's!]

Donofrio doesn’t know how to run his video camera. Deeply techno challenged.
