Episode 146: July 4th Edition

The Manly Doctors set off a few fireworks of their own with some 4th of July reminiscences, a lively discussion of liturgical gestures, both meaningful and meaningless, and a startling revelation that links the Calvary Chapel of Donofrio’s youth with the Indian shows at the Wisconsin Dells of Cwirla’s childhood.  And if that isn’t enough, we forgot to turn off the microphone so listen to the very end for a bonus laugh or two.

Music Credits:

“Swinging on a Star” – Bing Crosby

“Get Rhythm” – Johnny Cash

  1. Joe says:

Hey, if y’all are ever stuck for an idea, I would love to know your take on the new Rob Bell book and how it lines up with the Lutheran take on heaven and hell and salvation.

By the way, please keep up with the Harry Camping clips. When you pick a date for the Rapture and you get it wrong, it’s always open season.

  2. Red Green says:

Thanks for the Liturgy shows guys!

  3. Joe says:

Oh…and thank you for introducing me to Larry Norman “I Wish We’d All Been Ready”. Finally there’s something out there that annoys me worse than Justin Bieber.
