episode 135: Maggie Karner on Pro-Life Issues

We have Maggie Karner, Director of Life and Health Ministries for the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod at the GW 3rd microphone to talk about pro-life issues from a Lutheran two-kingdoms perspective.  Oh, and she also hits the GW Gong at the opening of the show.

I’m not sure if this is where Pastor Donofrio got the number, but I think I remember hearing in an interview on Issues, Etc that somewhere around 40% of African-American babies conceived in New York City are aborted – a number double that of whites and 50% more than hispanic.

I think abortion is wrong and should be illegal, but I’ve often wondered about the effect of declaring unborn babies legally persons. Does every miscarriage become a manslaughter investigation? It’s a better problem to have than however many million dead babies every year, but it seems like there might be a way of falling off on the other side.

I love your show! Keep up the great work.

I’m listening to this episode now, and I have to ask, what was that song that you came back in to the second segment with?

    Thanks for the show!
