Episode 132: Goofy Pastor Questions

Monday, March 21st, 2011

The Manly Doctors of Divinity lob softball questions at each other on infant baptism, the nature of the Lord’s Supper, and why we go to worship.  Also, a brief catechism on GW Lenten pieties including Bacon Mondays, Amarula Tuesdays, and Bottom Feeder Fridays.  And, if that isn’t enough, Albi the Racist Dragon.  You’ll see.  Just listen.

Episode 131 – St. Patty’s, Amarula, Lent Edition

Friday, March 18th, 2011

The God Whisperers celebrate St. Patty’s Day with a South African twist as they sample Amarula on-air with Director of Southern Hemispherical Operations Henning von Rensburg and official therapist-in-residence and gong master Steve Lownesg.  Somewhere in this mess, there are whisperings of ashless Ash Wednesday, the season of Lent, and assorted other interesting stuff.  Who ever said we were organized religion?

The opening segment can be seen on YouTube, proving once again that we are made for radio.

* Warning * A blanket Home Schooler Alert was issued for this entire episode as some drinking of the fermented fruit of the Marula tree was involved in the production.

Episode 130: Transfiguration Edition

Wednesday, March 9th, 2011

The Irreverent Reverends of Religiosity, the Manly Doctors of Divinity catch up with listener email on Muslims, Hitler, and a handful of other things, and then some whisperings on the Transfiguration of Our Lord.  Shining Jesus in all His glory.

A Brief (One Week) Sabbatical

Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011

Manly Doctor Cwirla was in St. Louis for a Higher Things Board of Directors meeting followed by a Youth Retreat in the mountains.  Manly Doctor Donofrio continues to heal from his eye surgery.  So we’re taking a week off and will resume the chaos next Monday with talk on the Transfiguration, Ash Wednesday, Lent, and … wait for it … the resumption of Bacon Mondays in Lent.
